Right, have just checked the 1911 and he was still alive then. Hadn't realised I'd already paid for the image *tuts*.

Off to see if I can find a likely death for him. His wife's death cert gives her occupation as 'wife of GWKelly' but it doesn't say he was deceased. Not that that means anything!

Found him! I must never have looked before. September 1922 aged 70 which is spot on. How sad, his daughter Ada would have been heavily pregnant with my dad who was born in the November.

Off to order the cert now.
