Betsey Wickham (FFFFM)

Name – Betsey Wickham
Date and place of birth – abt 1811. States not of county (Surrey) in 1841. Lambeth in 1851 and 1861
Names of parents – Possibly Thomas and Mary (see below). There are trees on Ancestry (inc mine! but I now have doubts) that make her Elizabeth, daughter of Abraham and Elizabeth b1806 in Lambeth.
Date and place of baptism - There is a baptism of a Betsey Wickham in Chatham 1813 with no birth year. Betsey’s marriage was in 1827, first child 1828 which would make her quite young.
Details of each of his or her marriages – James Butcher, 9 Sep 1827, St Mary Newington, Surrey
Occupation(s) -
Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK)
1828 - York Place, Lambeth, Surrey
1837-41 – Mount Row, Lambeth, Surrey
1851 – Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, Surrey
1861 – Waterloo Rd, Lambeth, Surrey

Date, place and cause of death – 24 November 1863, Waterloo Rd, Lambeth. Chronic bronchitis
Date and place of burial – Not found
Details of will / administration of their estate - if applicable
Memorial inscription - if any

Betsey is always recorded as Betsey – marriage record, baptisms of her children, census returns and death certificate are all Betsey, never Elizabeth.
One of the witnesses at Betsey's marriage was ??? Wickham. Have never been able to pin him(?) down!

The witness's name looks like either Guy or a badly scrawled Henry or Lucy.

Hmmm - don't think I've considered Henry! Will give that a try. Thanks Kate

Update - I have recently found a marriage for a Betsy Wickham, Feb 1839 @ Gillingham, Kent, father Thomas which would seem to rule out the Betsey baptised 1813 in Chatham. I did think that she was probably too young!

I have now located an Elizabeth Wickham, bapt 1809 @ St Margarets Westminster to a John and LUCY (see Kite's conjecture on the signature on Betsy's marriage record) I've sent for the death certificate of a Lucy Wickham 1838, Lambeth in the hope that the informant may give me clue, assuming that this Lucy is/was the wife of John.....
