There is a 55 year old James Saunders living Newcastle Under Lyme in 1841. He is a brewer (is that a standard occ for Saunders...lol).

His wife is Frances but he could have re-married and he has a daughter aged 13 named Caroline.

Not many similarities.......lol

I'll look again tomorrow.

1851 has a James Saunders....wait for it.......a GILDER. Age 59 at Wolverhampton.

Check your pms. I'm off to bed.....will return in a few hours...lol

If this is right it would fit in with one Libby found for me in 1851

borobabs 14-11-10 22:01

Which was this one ;;

I'm confused, because earlier on I looked at a James Saunders at Horseley Field on the 1851 census, but his occupation was Carrier's Clerk so I thought he must not be the one that Libby found for you as she said he was a Gilder. But that 1841 family are at Horseley Field?

kiterunner 14-11-10 22:07

Oops, I was typing at the same time as you!
