It is the Oliver Whitby Bluecoat School in Chichester, though we don't know why it's in our family (from West Wittering about 7 miles away), nobody recognises anyone in the picture. It's a postcard style photo with a small rubber stamped label reading "The Westgate Studio, 40 West Street Chichester" on the back. I don' know the date, but would guess between 1910 and 1920. |
This is the Art Studio at Sidcot School, Somerset during WW1. The master standing on the right is my great-grandfather, Henry Robert Clark.

This one is of one of the many Bass Brewery trips to either Scarborough or Blackpool I would imagine. Bass paid for their employees for a day trip to the seaside every year. Sometimes almost 20 carriages would leave Burton Station.
I bet there was a few crates of beer aboard. :D I have no idea if any family members are amongst them. http://i660.photobucket.com/albums/u...n/Basstrip.png |
