Ancestry search changes?
 

I don't know whether this is supposed to be happening or not, because there is a message at the top of the screen about site problems, but when I do a search, instead of the normal way of editing the search, I am seeing "Your search" with a pencil icon next to it, and have to click on the pencil icon to edit it. There are also three dots next to the pencil, which give me the option to "start over".

Mine has been like that for a couple of days now.
It is a pain, I hate it when they change things!

Mine has been like that for a few weeks. It's not very good, a backward step in my opinion.

I've ony had that for a couple of days. I'm just getting over it now.

A few days before the switch to "Browse By Catagory" became smaller requiring a tad more accuracy when switching.

I don't know that the results of these changes are any different, are they?

I would much rather they sort the issue of the number of matches in a catagory being reflected in what you see when you select that catagory and not actually No Matches as has been going on for a few years now!

When getting search results by records and then switching to category you could at one time sort them alphabetically, I have not been able to do that for a few months it is a nuisance, it was something I always used.

I didn't even know that! Too late now.

I wouldn't mind if the "browse by category" button actually worked. Most of the time, nothing happens.

Oh, I've never had it not work. Is that just since it's been green or before as well?

Browse by category is up on the right hand corner with a button to switch on or off has it always been like that? I have only just notice this!

No, it has changed - though you previously had the option to refine by category. The default is off, and it's obviously in a beta stage, as it doesn't always work.
