Oh, I did find her on a census, but don't remember which one now and I don't remember how I was certain, but I was!!!

It was him being a coal dealer. I can't get the pages to open to gve you a link but Wm Brown b 1782 living in St Mary Newington should help.

Thanks, Merry! I have now located them in 1851, miserable couple. Not a relation in sight to offer a clue as to where they might have been in 1841, or if they were still alive in 1861. I think I shelve this as a problem for a rainy day.

Peter Richard Dantan baptised St James ,Westminster 1796 - do you think this is Hesthers husband ?? no date given - just the year ??

Oh wow! thank you Allan! I've found the original entry and the next entry (sadly, they weren't queuing for the font!) was Princess Charlotte Augusta, daughter of the Prince of Wales!

NB Ancestry wasn't up to indexing Princess Charlotte's baptism. Entry at the bottom of the page, if anyone is interested: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/imageview...38&pId=1977911
