Robert Browning abt 1785? - before 1841

No birth or baptism found.
I don't know much about Robert. I think he's the chap who was indentured 29 Apr 1805,
Robert Browning apprenticed to Castle Kempton of Ely, Isle of Ely for £2 for 6 years to become a cordwainer.

No marriage found but the mother listed in baptisms of his children, is Sarah.

His son Thomas (born abt 1807) was baptised 1812 in Ely
1813 baptism of daur Sarah, of King Street, Cambridge at Holy Trinity Cambridge
1817 baptism of daur Susannah, (b. abt 1814) of King Street Cambridge at Holy Trinity

No definite death or burial found.

There is a marriage on FamilySearch between Robert Browning and Sarah Mason, 28 Oct or 4 Nov 1810 in Cambridge, though I suppose your Robert would still (just) have been an apprentice then.

Thanks. I saw and discounted that marriage but can't remember why so I'll look at it again.

Had another look - I'd dismissed Sarah as I'd found a burial that would have made her the wrong age, but the burial was for a wife of Henry Browning, and I've now found a baptism for Sarah Mason 1785 which fits, so thanks again KiteRunner!
