How often do Thrulines update?

I'm helping my son-in-law with his Ancestry tree and DNA matches.
I've added a lot of ancestors in the past few days but Thrulines aren't showing them yet.

I was wondering how often they are updated.

Normally it takes about 48 hours.

Nothing seems to happen over weekends. It's also the case that if someone has a tree, and you make the connection to force a thruline, it will come into place, but not show as a new connection.

I've added lots of people to the tree and they are still appearing on Thrulines as "potential ancestor" in green.

I have given up on this problem. I have disconnected a tree, left it a while, and then reconnected it, but nothing has worked.

I don't know whether the problem is me, as editor, adding a tree I have created, or whether I should have logged in with a different password, as the DNA owner, to connect the tree.

All I can say is that despite the irritation of this, thruline matches do usually show (though on Best Mate's tree, Ancestry sometimes, but not always, denies there is a common ancestor wen you drill down)

I agree with you about the irritation. It's not my tree and the DNA results seemed to be linked to a tree name which doesn't exist. I relinked the results to the correct tree but it's still showing wrong!

People added some time ago are still showing as potential ancestors.

I think there is a problem with the linking.

There is just one tree on Ancestry and I have checked that the DNA results are linked to that tree. However, when I look at Thrulines, it says at the top "These ThruLines® are generated using *** ***'s DNA results that are linked to *** *** (slightly different tree name) in *** ***".

I think there were two trees at one time and the DNA results are still somehow linking to the out-of-date, deleted tree, but I don't understand how. The tree is much larger now and there are lots of green "potential ancestors" showing in Thrulines.

I've tried everything I can to link to the updated version.

Finally!

I switched off DNA matches several times and then on again. Now I have the people entered on the tree without the "potential ancestor" green box.
