Ancestry DNA.

Is there anyway of telling if someone with a family tree on Ancestry has done their DNA? I’m asking about my husband’s side. He hasn’t done his DNA and just wondering if I look at trees on his side can I see if anyone has done DNA.

I know I can message them and ask, but trying to avoid the hassle.

You can tag people on your tree to say they are a genetic ancestor. Or use an image to say the same thing. That would be a good hint.

Can you do that if you haven’t done a DNA test?

The only way to know whether they have tested is if you have done a DNA test and they are a match to you, unless they have put something on their profile or their tree to say they have tested, which some people do.

Or if you know their email address, you could look it up on GEDMatch and see if they are on there.

Thanks. I figured that might be the case.
