Margaret House was born on 25th February 1840 at Rotherfield Greys, Oxfordshire. In censuses it often gives her birthplace as Henley-on-Thames.
In 1863 she married William Walker at St Pancras, London. They had a large family and lived in London and also Beckenham, Kent. William Walker was a saddler and harness maker. He died in 1894 in St George Hanover Square. My last sighting of Margaret Walker was in 1901 when she was staying with her nephew William Spearing and his family at Henley-on-Thames. After that I can't find any trace of her, nor can other researchers. I have looked to see whether she is on censuses with surviving children and also for deaths and marriages, but it's such a common name I'm having no joy. If anyone finds her I'd be very grateful. |

Thanks for the reply, Kiterunner. As far as I am aware, Margaret had no connection with that area, but I'll bear it in mind. She had lived in Pimilico and Beckenham apart from the Henley area.
