Default Two little Russians

A knowledge of cyrillic handwriting would be an advantage on this one!

These little moppets have been in a family postcard album for years but nobody knows who they are. My great aunt collected postcards from the beginning of last century so they may have come from one of her employers.

Both have Moscow postmarks and were redirected from Wexford. Any ideas? I've been looking for Mrs Rolfe in London in 1901 (unsuccessfully)

Both addressed to Mr A W Rowe, Richmond, Wexford, Ireland, then corrected to Mr AW Rowe, c/o Mrs LR Rolfe, 25 St John's Park, London N

Thankyou Phoenix, (I used to be able to search on Ancestry by reference numbers, they don't seem to have that any more)

Well, I did Russian many years ago at school, but I'm afraid between the handwriting and my bad memory I can't be much help!

If I had to guess I'd say the handwritten word on the second card starts something like Shchors....

an answer

Where is Cyrillic HANDWRITING in these postcards?
The first line only - TO ENGLAND
On the bottom of the first card: Congratulations!
On the top of the second card Georgyk (small George) Rowe
from Irenelviv on that site

Thanks Allan, that's brilliant - there was only a small bit of cyrillic on the front, I'd hoped the "congratulations" might be the child's name, but it's great to know who little Georgyk Rowe was (maybe half Russian?)

Please pass on my thanks to Irenelviv
