Default Oxford University records?

I have a Reverend James Bond in my tree and the information is that he attended Oxford University. Are there any records that I could view?

They're on Ancestry:

Thanks, Shona. Here he is:

He is the brother of my 4x-great-grandmother. I'm having a lot of fun with her tree.

Thanks, Mary.

James Bond followed in the footsteps of his maternal uncle, James Andrew. I think they were both rectors/vicars of the same parish and it seems he married her daughter (off to investigate).

It looks like James Bond performed the marriage ceremony for his elder brother, Andrew Bond, at Lamorran in 1776.

On the UK clergy database there are 3 James Bonds, yours may be one of these two, the 3rd is to early.. If he married his brother in 1776, then it is probably the second one. However, the database is by no means a complete record of clergy.

Thanks, Chris.

He is the Rev. James Bond who was at Ashford, which is also where his uncle and father-in-law, the Rev. James Andrew, was vicar.

They both came from Probus in Cornwall. James Andrew is my 5x-great-uncle and James Bond my 4x-great-uncle.

I was lying in bed wondering about education in those days. James Bond was one of 11 children. His family were comfortable but not wealthy. He seems to have received a very good education and I wonder if he was educated in nearby Truro.

His uncle James Andrew was one of 8 children and I had the same questions about his education.

This website tells you a lot more about them. I have been checking my findings with it, but I have been doing my own research.
