Default Charles Harwood or Chandler (OH's FFFF)

Name - "official" name and what they were known as:
Charles Harwood also known as Charles Chandler because his father was born out of wedlock to Sarah Harwood who shortly after married Thomas Chandler. All this is noted in his father’s burial entry in Sutton burial register

1849 Sutton, Sussex

Thomas Harwood aka Chandler & Mary (nee Curtis)

not known but likely to be Sutton under either name (baptisms microfiche at Worthing library for this date has gone walkabout)

If you specify Sutton, Sussex, it comes up with quite a few records including burials.

Thankyou Elizabeth, I should have remembered the pilot site. That sounds like him, my bro in law has researched the family as well but I don't know if he has the birth cert, will have to ask next time I see him.
