So he isn't the Albert E Calladine who served in the Royal Engineers as a sapper no. 88388 and then Corporal WR/252090? There is a medal index card showing service in France in 1915, so I don't think it could be the Albert Edward Calladine who was born in 1900.
It would be unusual for a man born in 1887 not to have served in WW1.

I`m not sure Kite, nothing was ever mentioned about him having served. I only met him a few times, he was about 5 foot tall and not very well built. Theres no one to ask now either.
