Default 1939 register

I've had an email from FMP saying that from 16 th Feb as a valued customer I'm entitled to unlimited access on the 1939 register.

Not enough people paying up I reckon.

Nice! I've got one too. I don't think many people will be buying credits to view the 1939 Register in the meantime!

I've had the email too and am so pleased now that I didn't waste much money on credits. I only bought the initial set of credits to view 5 records with the discount. I think they've not had as much business as they thought they were going to. This has come a lot quicker than I expected it to.

I only bought the initial 5 households then one more on a 50% off offer.
I also bet they want the general public to keep sending corrections in and that isn't happening because the cost is too high.

I bought a half price one and then used credits I already had for another. As I have a World sub the credits weren't doing much.

Some more details - the 1939 Register will be included in 12-month Britain and World subs from that date (16th Feb), existing subs and new ones. If you have a 12 month sub and you have bought credits to access the 1939 Register, if the credits are still unused, and not expired, on the 16th Feb you can email FMP support and they will sort out a refund (saw this on their Facebook page.) Also, the price of new subs is going up by 20% on that date but not for renewals of existing subs.

I'm very excited. 2 days after my birthday!!!!!

I don't need the register for anything so haven't bought any credits but it will be interesting to have a look.

I, too, am surprised at how quickly this has happened. The 1911 census was at least 12 months before it was added to the subscriptions.

Now I'm impatient to see the register. Seeing they have made the decision couldn't they just do it now?
