William Walter of Wimbledon
This is a new addition to PROB 11:
Will of William Walter, of Wimbledon, Surrey Reference: PROB 11/164/783 Description: Will of William Walter, of Wimbledon, Surrey Date: 13 July 1633 It is not complete: TNA have yet to film the final page. However, there is a will on Ancestry. I don't have a subscription at the moment, so cannot access it, but understand it is in Latin. This suggests it is actually the sentence, rather than the will. Can anyone tell me:

1. The will is dated 7 Apr 1631. It is indexed as Willimi Walker on Ancestry but I have put in a correction. It takes up half of one page, all of the next page, and then the top of the third page followed by the probate info (in Latin), then the other stuff in Latin takes up the rest of that page and the next page.
2. The reference on the image is PROB11/164, if that's what you're asking for? |

Thank you, Kite. Willimi would be correct for the index at that period.
Did the first page have 137 typed on the right hand side? I have only the TNA version, so just a sliver of the missing third page. I thought the final part of the reference would be the folio number, but as TNA have entered this after 31 December, it must simply be a unique ordering number. Does the third page have the words In Nomine and the fourth Lecta ?

Yes, there is 137 on the right of the first page. The third page has In dei Nomine Amen and the fourth page has Lecta lata.

Thanks, Kite. I think I know where I'm coming from now.
