Baptised 1 June 1758, son of Robert Domoney & Ann nee Satchell at Iwerne Minster, Dorset

Married Jane Ayles 22 April 1788 at Iwerne

NBI has a burial for William Domoney at Iwerne Minster, St Mary's on 13 Sep 1820 aged 63 which puts his dob as 1757

Also Jane 23 July 1835 aged 73

There are a 8 Domoney's altogether in Iwerne Minster on the NBI. PM your email addy if you want them.

GR shaves burial dates off things and I don't have access to trees or notes here, but I know I have seen the original registers and the bts. And Jane appears elsewhere as Jane Oiles (in the prs, I think)

When William married he was a widower, and judging by his signature his previous wife was Hester James who he married 5 Nov 1782 in Iwerne Minster.

This would explain why on the militia lists he has four children: one is Jean, his only survivng child from that first marriage.

William had an excellent signature, was 5' 5" tall and is various described as mason and bricklayer, like his brothers.
