So I am pretty sure that the other Henry Dry of Lincolns Inn will (1740) will be the father of my William Dry, and I have just downloaded that will too.

It's going to take me weeks to add everything to my tree, Julie!

Yes, Henry Dry sr did turn out to be the father of my William Dry, and it seems this family and the Hodges family spent a lot of time in the Chancery Court, so the TNA Catalogue entries have been quite helpful, apart from one which is listed as "Quested v Leo" with no other information except for the date. If there was a full description of this case I probably wouldn't have needed to order a copy of that probate inventory. I have submitted a correction to make it "Quested v Lee", and it said that if they don't accept the correction they will let me know in 10 working days, hopefully with some information about it. But it must be the case that is referred to in the probate inventory.

And I have a wish list of PCC wills to work through too!

First husband of Anne Hodges was Warner Perkins: -

Charles Perkins was, I think, Warner's father.

More information on the Hoopers, for anyone interested, on another thread: Joseph Jory and his niece Frances - post number 52.

Hi
I can see that these posts are very old, but wondering if anyone is still researching this family. I may be able to help, although any queries have probably been resolved by now!
