Default Thomas Wrightson

Name - "official" name and what they were known as Thomas Wrightson
Date and place of birth: 1811 Hornby, Yorkshire
Names of parents: Francis Wrightson b. 1768 in Hornby Yorkshire, died 4th December 1838 of Paralysis. Margaret (?) died 13 September 1846 in Great Smeaton
Date and place of baptism - if applicable not known
Details of each of his or her marriages - if any: 16th May 1840, to Elizabeth Ormston, at Great Smeaton Church, Yorkshire. Witnesses Ralph Wrightson, and Isobell Ormston.
Occupation(s) - if any: Farmer all his life
Addresses where they lived (including county if in UK) - and please list which censuses you have or haven't found him/her on.:
1851 West Farm, Hornby, Yorkshire.
1861 West Farm, Hornby, Yorkshire


Date, place and cause of death: June 1890, Yorkshire
Date and place of burial / cremation.

I think this is him in 1871

But with a wife named Jane... I've looked on FreeBMD for a death of Elizabeth but my knowledge of Yorkshire reg. districts is zero - there are a few possibles. There's a possible marriage to Jane in 1865 in Tadcaster (is that nearby?)

Edit :- Not sure what's going on here found him in 1881 but with Elizabeth! Did she go by both names?

Hi Sue, and thank you for your help. Yes the 1881 image is definitely my Thomas, but the 1871 puzzles me.....not only is the wife wrong but the date of birth is quite a long way out too, but everything else fits!
