Searching for deaths/burials of William and Hannah Freeman
William and Hannah Freeman married in 1810.
They had 3 children: William (1812). Mary (1816) and Samuel (1817, who must have died young). They were born in Gloucestershire. I have now noticed William and Mary both married at St Mary, Lambeth in 1839 and 1836 respectively. I'm wondering whether the whole family lived here as I can't find their parents' burials in Gloucestershire/Warwickshire. I'll have another look again but so far I have drawn a blank. The affidavits in the Chancery case don't have details of their deaths. |

Thanks for looking, Kate.
I've just noted that William senior was deceased when son married Sarah Sherington in 1839. He was a butcher, so that might be worth investigating. |

William Freeman married Hannah Stevens 6 Aug 1809 in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
Is this the same person or did he definitely marry in 1810? Perhaps not even the right Hannah?

John S, thanks for your interest and suggestions.
I know for sure that the William Freeman I'm researching married Hannah Jeffcoat. She was definitely born in 1784 (Quaker birth record) and is well documented through Quaker records, C of E records and family wills etc. They married at Upper Winchendon, Buckinghamshire. Hannah's sister Rebecca also married a Freeman - Thomas Freeman from Adelstrop. |
