lol I don't know why I typed 'not looked for' when I've been looking, vaguely, for years!

I should have said 'parish register not looked at' because I've never been to anywhere that has it!

Apologies........

Anyway, her father is meant to be William, so that's unlikely to be her.

He really is William too! He is living with the Sage family on some censuses and she is named as dau on his death cert so I've no problem with him!

In 1841 there's William aged 50 followed by Ann aged 50 and some children. This Ann may well be Eliza Easton's mother, but even if she is William's wife, I don't know how long they had been married!

I suppose I should look for her death cert, but even if I had the luck to have Eliza registering her death as well as William's, I would be less comfortable with the description daughter (if it was given!) in case Ann was really a step-parent.

FreeREG baptisms for St Andrew's Church, Chew Magna, are supposed to be complete from 1781 to 1903.

They lived in the hamlet of Bishop Sutton in Chew Manga parish much of the time and there was a chapel of ease at Bishop Sutton. Maybe the baptism records got lost/were not written down in the right place?

Then click on "C".

To get there from the FreeREG front page, you would click on "Counties and Parishes".
