Help with John William Fearn

The death cert has arrived at last.

John William Fearn, died 13 January 1970 at The General Hospital, Burton on Trent - cause - Bronchopneumonia and Cerebral Thrombosis.

birth, 23 February 1895 in Gresley, Derbyshire

(birth cert says Swadlincote but the two are so close it hardly matters.)

A wagon repairer (retired) of 76 Craven Street, Burton

Wagon repairer is the same occupation on his daughters marriage cert.

Informant William Alfred Fearn, son.

So, he knew his date of birth, well the family did. He knew his real fathers name although the occupation was out. He knew he was born in the Swad / Gresley area.

I just wish I knew why he was seemingly abandoned by his real parents.

His daughter, son in laws Gran, is hopefully coming to my daughters birthday party in July. She, gran, is 93 now.

If I get to talk to her and tell her that son in law asked me to do his tree, depending on her reaction I will ask her about her father.
