Default I have good news re Gertrude Mary Woods x 2

As I think I have told you, My Great Grandfather Richard Woods was married prior to my Grandmother's mother.

The lady he married was Gertrude Mary Hancock and this took place in Bombay, India where he was a Fireman on the Great Indian Peninsular.

In 1907 They had a child, a girl. Unfortunately Mrs Gertrude Mary Woods died giving birth to her daughter. Richard then named his daughter after her mother making her Gertrude Mary Woods also.

I have searched and searched for the death and birth certs of these two and on 20th March I emailed the Britiish Library where the India Records are held. Today I got a reply from John Chignoli from the British Library and wahaaayyyy they have found both certs. They have sent me the relevant form, via email, to complete in order to pay and order these certs, so in the not too distant future I will be in receipt of them.

Once I have ordered Gertrude jnr's marriage (x 3) and her death cert I will have her records from birth to death. What a shame her father's birth cert still is evading me.

I am well happy.
