Bother, I thought I'd found her death listed as Ann Parker, in 1861, age 72, but the burial says wife of William, according to the pilot site.

There is a Nancy Parker burial 4 May 1882 at St Michael on Wyre, Lancashire, age 95, abode Fulwood. Death registered Apr-Jun 1882 Preston district, Broughton sub-district. Can anyone find this Nancy Parker on the 1871 or 1881 census, please?

Oh, I've found her in 1871 now, with her son John - I hadn't looked for him before because I had already found him at another address! He is one of those people who turns up twice on the same census. And he is in Fulwood in 1881, so it's looking good.

Finally found her marriage: John Parker married Nancy Catteral 12 Feb 1810 at Woodplumpton Chapel, St Michael on Wyre, Lancashire. Witnesses James Billington and Thomas Millner. Nancy is a spinster age 19, John a husbandman, bachelor, age 25.

So she is likely to be the Ann Catteral baptised 31 Mar 1793 at St Michael on Wyre, Lancashire, father Robert Catteral, on FamilySearch. Ancestry doesn't seem to have the parish registers and I can't see this entry in the Bishop's Transcripts.

Lancs OPC:

Baptism: 25 Aug 1793 St Michael, St Michael's on Wyre, Lancashire, England
Ann Catterall - Daughter of Robert Catterall
Born: 20 Jul 1793
Abode: Crossmoor
Source: LDS Film 94024

The entry is on the Bishops Transcripts. It's Number 9 in the right-hand column here

I think ancestry have transcribed the entry as John Catteral!

The FS entry you found has date 31 Mar because that's the date the BTs were written up and the entries within them are undated.

The indexing ref for that entry mentions that entry number 9:

Indexing Project (Batch) Number: I04738-6 , System Origin: England-EASy , GS Film number: 1502470 , Reference ID: item 9

FS does also have the same entry that appears on Lancs OPC but it's further down the results list for me (I only looked at 1793 though!).

Thanks for that, Merry. It was late at night when I was looking!
