Found a baptism of Samuel Stott 7/8/1765 St. Mary Oldham Lancs parents Charles Stott and Ann Moorhouse. The microfilm copy of the register says Greenacres Moor which is where the family was located. I am fairly certain I have the right baptism.

Burial ties in yeah 30/12/1818 age 53 years at Parochial Chapel at Oldham, Lancashire .. address I think . Wilkins near Lees Brook.

Thanks Liza. It is interesting when we now know where Greenacres Moor is. Being there and having those little map books makes a lot of sense.
Today I tried to find Barden farm .. I could find the road but it is now all residential. Now at Blacksmiths Arms. The Satnav did the same thing to me as it did first in Yorks. I ended up going twice through Lewes which is pretty hairy!! Think I may head back to Kent as with this warmer weather I think there will be lots down here near the coast tomorrow.
