i've just found a really stupid mistake in the transcriptions, except that I don't know if it's a mistake or standard FMP policy (though I hope not).

Two of my families had several children of different ages baptised on the same day, one family in 1876 and the other in 1889, and when you search for them, the transcription shows the year of birth for all of them as being the same as the year of baptism. The dates of birth aren't shown on the actual images.

Does anyone know if FMP usually do this? I'm wondering whether it's sufficient to flag it up as an error for these two families, or if all the Leics records will be affected.

Mary I checked their Staffordshire records and the YOB is blank for most unless the DOB is also recorded so that is different to what you are saying.

Thanks, Kit. I've reported my two the cases, but perhaps I should e-mail them too.
