Default Did Emma marry?

Flushed with success at finding details of the death and burial of my g-grandmother Emma Newman (nee Peel), I'm hoping to discover next if she ever married. I have posted about this before, but perhaps someone can spot some new records?

Here she is on TOGG: http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/f...ight=emma+peel
And here's an associated thread about her son Daniel: http://www.genealogistsforum.co.uk/f...=daniel+newman

I think I've identified her son Daniel as Daniel Peel in the Ancestry school records (father's name is given as James). He leaves one school shortly before a Daniel Newman starts at another school - date of birth virtually the same.

So, I'm guessing Daniel was illegitimate. But that doesn't explain why Emma apparently never married James Newman, and apparently never registered the births of several of her children.

(just to confuse things there's a parallel James and Emma Newman in Bethnal Green at about the same time).

Thanks for looking, Elizabeth. The father of Emma's 'husband' James Newman (born 1860) was definitely also James Newman, a carman - none of the marriages on Ancestry seem to fit, even if Emma's surname wasn't Peel (for whatever reason).

Details of each of his or her marriages - if any
None found. I was told she married, had a child, was widowed, then married my g-grandfather, James Newman. Children's birth certs all have her name as Emma Newman formerly Peel
To save me looking up all the censuses, could you confirm when she last appears as Peel and when she first appears as Newman? Thanks.

Do we know who James Newman jnr is?

If James snr were previously married, he might not be in a position to marry Emma, even if he were the father of Daniel. (I have an ancestor playing chicken with two women at the same time)
