There's a birth for a George Tillett Thomas in 1910 in Swansea who may well be a relative of the William we are looking for, but unfortunately he died in 1910 too and as the mmn was Williams I'd say unless anyone can find a burial with family details or similar, it may be impossible to find out who his parents were.

Looking at the deaths in the time frame you mentioned there's this one:
Deaths Mar 1927 (>99%) Thomas Emily 72 Swindon 5a 53 I just wondered if she might have stayed in Wilts as that's where her daughters were and maybe died in hospital as Swindon is a few miles away from the other places we've mentioned.

Oh, probably not as there's an Emily Thomas living in Swindon (same age) in 1911 and 1921 - unless that one moved somewhere else!
