FreeREG gives the witnesses' names at James and Joanna's wedding as John Collier and George James.

There is a James Collier marrying a Sarah Lewis 19 Apr 1742 at Farrington Gurney who could be connected. A Sarah Collier marries a Joseph Weston of Batheaston 18 Aug 1770 also at Farrington Gurney, by licence, witnesses Jas Collier, Rd Young, James Collier and John Weston. So possibly James and Sarah had children named after themselves. But they don't seem to have had them baptised at Farrington Gurney.

FreeREG has the burial of a James Collier 29 Mar 1801 at Farrington Gurney, aged [blank] years. Also a Jas Collier, pauper, 24 Feb 1790, age 53. And another one died 8 Jan 1764, buried 10 Jan 1764, doesn't give his age.

So there seem to be a lot of James Colliers around there!
