I haven't seen him before. Is this still at St Mary, Ewell?
I'll investigate.

He's at Epsom in 1851, aged 81. He was born at Frensham, according to the Census.

He's the son of Aaron and Ann nee Andrews and his son Aaron is in Berkshire on the 1851 census. I can't find anything more.

Thanks for that, Phoenix. Hence the Frensham connection.

Unless Joseph and Hannah Andrews were non-conformist, it doesn't look as though they were born in Surrey, but there is the Frensham connection to link them. Also, there was a thriving paper-making industry in Shottermill and environs.

I think it's the case of follow the water. I know that calico printers moved between Carshalton, Crayford and somewhere in Essex.
