Emigration records
This is new territory for me and I would be grateful for any help.
I know that William Grimshaw and his new wife Margaret went to the USA after May 1841 but before 1843. They returned at some point before 1847. I am wondering if they took anyone else with them (Grimshaws or Stewarts). I think they left from Liverpool although they were from the Isle of Man..Are there any records of passengers as early as the 1840s please? OC |

I don't think there will be emigration records from the UK for that date, but I have found this on the US immigration records:
https://www.ancestry.co.uk/interacti...=successSource New York, Passenger and Crew Lists arrival New York 5 Jul 1842 on the "Normandie" from Liverpool William Grimshaw 26 Male Farmer origin Ireland, destination New York John Stewart 24 dittos Margeret Grimshaw 20 Female Wife Do Do. |
