Manitoba Marriages
I have found a Manitoba site which indexes the marriage of Henry Alexander Titford and Ellen Horne 22 November 1905.
Those details are shown on the template, everything else is left blank. Does this mean that that's all that's available? They only hold the index? List all matches... Back to search page MARRIAGES: 1 to 1 of 1 GROOM'S LAST NAME: TITFORD GROOM'S GIVEN NAMES: HENRY ALEXANDER BRIDE'S LAST NAME: HORNE BRIDE'S GIVEN NAMES: ELLEN DATE OF MARRIAGE: 22/11/1905 PLACE OF MARRIAGE: WPG REGISTRATION NUMBER: 1905,003484 REGISTRATION DATE: I'm fairly sure Ellen is a relation, but it would be helpful to know her father's name!

I found this: https://www.familysearch.org/en/wiki...l_Registration
which includes the following: Images and complete indexes of these vital records are not available online. The indexes on Manitoba Vital Records Index Search only list limited information found on the record. In order to see all of the information or the actual image, the record must be ordered from the Manitoba Statistics Agency website. Doesn't actually say whether the full record will show father's name though. |

FMP tells me that HAT died in 1913 so is this Ellen after a new marriage (at the top):

Thanks, Kite
When I clicked "add to cart" nothing happened. The potential fields include mothers' as well as fathers' names, so it might be really useful.

Was your Ellen born about 1877?

She was born March qtr 1876. (I think!)
I have a DNA match with a descendant of one Helen Horne, born in England. I think she corresponds with the Ellen Horne who emigrated to Canada with the purpose of marrying in August 1905, aged 29, and that that Ellen was the daughter of Samuel Horne and born in Guildford.

That's near enough! She was recorded as aged 39 on the 1916 Canadian census. I didn't look to see what time of year the data was collected.

I'm fairly sure my disappearing Ellen matches their sudden arrival of Ellen/Helen.
