Default Cambridge Archives

I think I need to visit, but I'm struggling to understand what records they hold.

Does anyone know, for example, whether they hold any wills? It looks as if Huntingdon Archives have some wills, but there does not appear to be an online catalogue.

I located lots of wills for Huntingdon from Ancestry.

https://www.ancestry.co.uk/search/categories/clp_wills/

Put "Huntingdon" in the lived in search box.

The Lambs hailed from Huntingdon so I have done a lot of research for that county, which has now been swallowed up by Cambridgeshire. At Huntingdon library you used to be able to see the original registers (some of which had been vandalised, with parts of pages cut or torn out!).

Hmm, I'm not getting the results I used to.
I'll have to look at my tree for links.

You would think that a new record office would prompt them to a more informative website, but no.

Someone who visited recently reported that new users were poorly treated. I wonder if it's a reflection of lack of funds. The contrast with Norfolk, where they have pushed as many indexes online as possible is dire.
