Default Children of Thomas Strugnell

Thomas Strugnell 1748–
Mary Strugnell 1750–
Betty Strugnell 1753–
Sarah Strugnell 1755– 1851 mother Elizabeth
James Strugnell c1761– 1844
Edward Strugnell 1763–
John Strugnell c1766–1853
Peter Strugnell 1766–

My ancestor is Sarah Strugnell. She has the bad taste to die in 1851, before the census, in Bishops Waltham, Hants, aged 95. She was married in nearby Droxfod and there is a baptism of of a Sarah, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth in Bishop's Waltham in 1755.

A Thomas and Elizabeth marry in Winchester in 1747:
02 May 1747 Thomas Strugnell, of Bishop's Waltham, & Elisabeth Kind, of Droxford mar.

So far, so good.
There are plenty of Strugnell children baptised in either Droxford or Bishops Waltham who could be siblings: see those above, not highlighted. However, in every case the mother is Isabel(la).

I did not find that a problem as Isabella is a synonym for Elizabeth.

Then I looked at DNA matches I manage.

Those highlighted are shown as siblings of Sarah. John lives long enough to give a pob as Droxford. All is promising.... but

No baptism is given for James or John and their mother is shown as Isabella Hunt.

Note that I myself have a DNA match via Betty.

I'm probably not looking hard enough, but can anyone see the marriage of a Thomas to an Isabella Hunt, or the baptism of those two boys?

One of the public trees on Ancestry has the marriage to Isabella Hunt as 12 Mar 1748 Petersfield, Hampshire. Not linked to a source though.

Yes, it is on FreeREG: 12 Mar 1748 St Peter, Petersfield: Thomas Strugnell married Isabella Hunt. They haven't transcribed any info on their home parishes though.

Oh joy. Petersfield is a Bermuda triangle for my family. As it's right on the borders, related events could happen in Surrey or Sussex.

Thanks, Allan! Although it's a bit earlier, there has got to be a relationship in there.
