Default Adam Wishart, born 1828 - did he go to Canada?

Adam Wishart was the son of Robert Wishart and his wife Mary Low.
He was born on 6th August 1828 at Saddle Hill, Fetteresso, Kincardineshire, Scotland.

I have him here:

1841 Census
Piece 258 Book/Folio 6 Page 3
Address: Saddle Hill, Saddle Hill, Fettersso
WISHART, Robert M 55 1786 Crofter Kincardineshire
WISHART, Mary F 45 1796 Kincardineshire
WISHART, Mary F 9 1832 Kincardineshire

1851 Census
Piece 258 Folio 16 Page 1
Saddlehill, Saddlehill, Fetteresso
WISHART, Robert Head Married M 69 1782 Crofter Of 8 Acres Fetteresso Kincardineshire
WISHART, Mary Wife Married F 59 1792 Kinneff Kincardineshire
WISHART, Adam Son Unmarried M 22 1829 Agr Labourer Fetteresso Kincardineshire

After that he disappears and I can't find any marriage or death record for him. I see on Ancestry that there is an Adam Wishart in Ontario, Canada, but as I don't have a worldwide subscription I can't see the year or the man's age.

So many emigrated from Scotland that I have always thought he probably went too.

Can anyone see him, please?

There is one on 1861 Canada Census but he was born in 1857 in Canada West Ontario son of Matilda no father/husband or other children with them, residence Bosanquet, Lambton, Canada West.

I did a quick search across Canadian records found nothing so far.

Thanks for looking, Maggie.

Lots of Scottish people ended up in New Zealand or Australia, so I could look there too.

He was still in Scotland in 1853 as he is participating in the Bridge of Dee Gathering.

I suppose he could have died in Scotland between 1853 and the start of civil registration in 1855 - not all parishes kept records of burials.

It's possible, Kate. It's a very short time frame.
