Default Do Thru lines work beyond 4th grandparents?

On Granny's side, I know all my 4th grandparents, indeed most of my 6th grandparents. But the thrulines icons stop dead at 4th.

Do you get thrulines and common ancestors further back, or does Ancestry give up there?

Okay, so I can't count

It's just frustrating that it stops so recently.
