There seems to be some confusion about this. FMP have three records for him, two for the memorial inscription:

one for 3rd February 1814
Day: 3
Month: Feb
Year: 1814
Age: 79
Forenames: William
Surname: ALEXANDER
Place: Avebury
County: Wiltshire
Country: England
Reference: 1048
Notes: husb of Ann
Record source: Wiltshire Memorial Inscription Index
Data provider: Wiltshire Family History Society

one for 3rd June February 1814
Day: 3
Month: Jun
Year: 1814
Age: 79
Forenames: William
Surname: ALEXANDER
Place: Avebury
County: Wiltshire
Country: England
Reference: 1049
Notes: husb of Ann
Record source: Wiltshire Memorial Inscription Index
Data provider: Wiltshire Family History Society

As the burial seems to be 7th June, it seems he died on 3rd June. Perhaps the stone wasn't very legible.

Date and place of burial

7th June 1814, St James, Avebury, Wiltshire

First name(s): William
Last name: ALEXANDER
Date of burial: 7 Jun 1814
Age at death: 78
Calculated year of birth: 1736
Place of burial: Avebury
Dedication: St James
County: Wiltshire

Details of will / administration of their estate
unknown, probably none

Memorial inscription
Don't know - but someone from the Wiltshire Family History Society might have recorded it. (see above)
