Edward Rayner
I have in the past been hesitant to enter Edward Rayner, since his details have been copied and recopied without anyone thinking things through.
Surname variously spelled: Rainer/Rayner/Reyner/Reiner Born 23 October 1700 Worthing, Norfolk, son of Edward Reyner and Mary nee Andrews Baptised 28 October 1700 in the Chapelry of Worthing (Swanton Morley appears to have been the mother church) Married 7 October 1728 St John Maddermarket Norwich to Mary Hooke, by licence. Register states both of Worthing If allegation or bond survive, they have yet to be catalogued to appear on NROCAT 2 June 1731 Baptism of first daughter, Anne, in Worthing. Edward is described as junior. 15 May 1733 Baptism of second daughter, Mary in Worthing. Edward again described as junior. 12 Feb 1736/7 Administration bond for late father's estate. Edward of Worthing 1739 - There is a gap in parish registers for marriages between 1741 and 1755 and for burials between 1739 and 1765 in Worthing, so Edward's first wife and daughters may well have been buried in this period. Edward might also have remarried in Worthing. 24 April 1744 Baptism of son Thomas in Cawston. Mother is Anne nee Holman, but no marriage has ever been found. Occupation: Publican 25 February 1758 Burial in Reepham No known will or gravestone Note that Edward was considerably older than his second wife, who was born in 1724, and not from the immediate locality of Reepham, but I have seen documentary evidence to prove the tree.

7 Oct 1728 am Licence obtained for Edward Reyner, dyer, singleman of Worthing and Mary Hooke, singlewoman aged 23, then straight off to St John Maddermarket, to get married before noon.
