Hi Lynden, and welcome.
I don't recognise any of the names as being on my OH's tree. It may be just coincidence that you also have a William Evans Lamb. Evans was the maiden name of our William's mother. So this is your William: http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/29...l=ReturnRecord I note they were non-conformists. |

This is the marriage of William Lamb and Lucy Dixon:
http://interactive.ancestry.co.uk/16...l=ReturnRecord Name: Lucy Dixon Spouse: Wm Lamb Record Type: Marriage Event Date: 3 Aug 1802 Parish: St Nicholas, Deptford Borough: Greenwich Register Type: Parish Register It might be a good idea to ask the moderators to start a new thread for this. Which William are you stuck with - the father or the son? |

Quote:
We really aren't sure why they married in Greenwich. The Lambs of Huntingdon seem to have searched for their brides way outside the Huntingdon area, although Mary Mallatratt was from Huntingdonshire. So, why they married at Greenwich is beyond me. Perhaps he or she was working there? Mary's sister Phebe was a witness. But no connection with Greenwich in the naval sense for either family. They moved back to Huntingdon - all the children were baptised there. Last edited by ElizabethHerts; 06-09-14 at 18:09. |
