Will of Abraham Bristow viewable on Familysearch from home - https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61...=48&cat=504379.

I've Bristow in the Warminster area and they frequently appear interchanged with Bristol.

Ooh, that's good Nicki! So Abraham appears to be childless after all, but his brother seems to have plenty of descendants.

I was interested to see Abraham mentions Joseph Gurney (1691-1750) and his son John in the will. They were ancestors of Elizabeth Fry nee Gurney. I think John was her grandfather and Joseph her great-grandfather.

Thanks for that, Nicki. I thought the Norfolk wills were on FamilySearch somewhere but I couldn't find them when I looked the other day.

The will of Ann Bristow, widow, 1753, confirmed that she was Abraham's widow, nee Perkins, but it didn't mention any other Bristows. And the will of John Bristow of Norwich in 1757 leaves everything to a Sarah Stafford, spinster.
