Who were the witnesses at his first wedding?

Oh, and if you get his death certificate it will give you his age at death which should be more accurate than the 1841 census.

No idea who the witnesses were as this was a 1804 marriage and very few witnesses were recorded.

Any marriage from 1754 onwards should have witnesses' names on it.

I didn't know that. I had the information from a film I saw years ago when I was new to the research. I'll have to see if I can get hold of it again.

Thanks for the help.

Have just dug out one of my many folders and have found the witnesses for his 2nd marriage in Whitchurch 1819. They were: Edward Sands, Martha Edwards, Lewis Lewis and Ann Joseph. The problem with this is that there was a marriage in Whitchurch in 1815 of a Lewis Lewis to Hannah Lewis. This was witnessed by Lewis Lewis and Lewis Lewis! Yes, two of them. I made a note that Lewis Lewis witnessed many marriages at that time.

I think I need to see the film with the first marriage to see if that is of any help.
