Default Rhona Vanstone

Rhona Vanstone was born in Canada in 1923 - and according to online tree died in 2013.

Her parents appear to be Harold Vanstone and Ann.

I think that Harold might be John Henry Vanstone - known to my side of the family as Harry.

Harry was born in England in 1896 and emigrated with his family to Canada in 1907.

Others have found an entry in both 1911 and 1921 census for him. I don't have a ww sub for Ancestry. All I do know is that he isn't with his family (parents Thomas J and Mary A, sister Dora) in 1911.

Can anyone find him on the 1921 census or his marriage? I imagine Ontario or possibly British Columbia.

Messing about with searching private trees on ancestry, it looks as though they have Rhona's parents down as William Henry Vanstone born 1895 Hartland, Devon, and Nancy Anne Bradshaw born 1899 Buxton Derbyshire. But those are from two different private trees so I'm not certain.

That makes sense, Kite.

I was taking the name from newspapers, and the family: Harry was sweet on one of my great aunts.
This must be him:

VANSTONE, WILLIAM HENRY EDWARDS EDWARDS
GRO Reference: 1895 J Quarter in BIDEFORD Volume 05B Page 487

That's excellent. There's no doubt that DNA is proving of great benefit in proving relationships.
