Default Who Do You Think You Are? 2014 series

Brian Blessed and Brendan O'Carroll (he of Mrs Brown's boys) will both feature in this year's series.

Has anyone heard of anyone else who is appearing?

They're the only two I've seen mention of so far, Shona.

I don't know if I'll be able to watch either of those without a bottle of something to blot them out a bit!

He is also very excitable! It should be interesting to see his reaction.

Imagine him in a library or record office where you are normally meant to be quiet?

Lets hope with Brendan O'Carroll we see some short cuts in Irish research. First time I've done it very recently and not easy.

Funny, I was just thinking about Brian Blessed recently and wondering when he got so loud? He used to be a perfectly acceptable actor (Z cars? something like that?) then he disappeared from MY radar for years and came back as a manic foghorn!

I know something of Brendan O'Carroll's family history and I think it should make riveting viewing.

Just bought the latest issue of WDYTYA magazine and it has the full list:
Julie Walters, Mary Berry, Brendan O'Carroll, Tamzin Outhwaite, Twiggy, Brian Blessed, Reggie Yates, Sheridan Smith, Martin Shaw and Billy Connolly. I actually recognise all the names for once! I've seen them all on telly except for Mary Berry and I have heard of her.

Interesting line-up. Here's the blurb from the Beeb:

Artists' storylines featured – final running order to be finalised:

Julie Walters
Julie’s journey takes her to Ireland, where she is on the trail of her radical great grandfather.

Brian Blessed
Brian wants to know where his adventuring spirit comes from – and discovers a real life Oliver Twist in his family tree.

Tamzin Outhwaite
Tamzin’s journey into her past follows the rags to riches story of her Italian great grandfather.

Brendan O’Carroll
Brendan’s story is a deeply personal quest to solve a murderous family mystery.

Sheridan Smith
Sheridan has grown up surrounded by a musical family, she’s on a hunt to find out where it all started.

Mary Berry
Mary wants to know where – at 79 – her energy and drive comes from, her journey reveals some unexpected and familiar twists and turns.

Martin Shaw
Martin never knew his grandfather. An old photograph kick starts a journey to uncover who he was.

Reggie Yates
Reggie grew up knowing very little about his father’s side of the family. A trip back to Ghana reveals a complex family history where Ghanaian culture and British colonialism collide.

Twiggy
Twiggy grew up in a close knit family in London - but admits that her parents told her nothing at all about her family. Her adventure reveals a colourful cast of characters.

Billy Connolly
Billy has always considered himself Scottish through and through – but discovers that his ancestry is considerably more exotic.
