Marriage Record of Joseph FISHER and Rebecca J O’DONNELL Pennsylvania, USA, Between 1
I am seeking the marriage date and place of Joseph FISHER and Rebecca J O’DONNELL the parents of George McClellan FISHER (1864-1938).
George was born in Pennsylvania, USA on 12 October 1864; and he died in Mifflin, Juniata, Pennsylvania, USA on 24 March 1938. Joseph and Rebecca are listed as his parents on his death certificate. According to his death certificate, they were both born in Pennsylvania. Rebecca is reportedly the daughter of John David O’DONNELL (1825-1911) and Susan E DELANCY (1824-1898). Joseph’s parents are not known at this time.

Not all Pennsylvania marriage records are online. I know because there are quite a few in my tree which I haven't been able to find. Do you have a marriage record for George? And if so, what information does it have? Death certificate information about parents isn't always accurate. Have you managed to find George on any census before his marriage?

Find a Grave says that George had a stepfather called Jacob Wise, and that George also went by the surname Wise before his marriage:

I just realised I should click the "more" button on that Find a Grave page to read the whole story, and it says that George was illegitimate, and that Joseph and Rebecca never married each other. So there is no marriage record to find.
