Help reading a couple of occupations on a marriage cert
I don't know how to put images on here.
can I email the cert to someone please? It's the groom's occupation ( I know what i think it says) also the Groom's father's occupation.

The groom's is Barkeeper (seagoing).
Groom's father - I'm not sure. Ship's something! Will post it on here so other's can have a try while I think about it. The first letter of the second word more or less matches the G of Grove. |

Yes I thought it was barkeeper seagoing. It’s Liverpool so perhaps on one of the big ships.
The other one- Ships greaser I thought maybe

From the other writing on the cert, it looks like "Gre...er" and the letter before "er" does look similar to some of the s's. So I guess it must be Ship's Greaser as that does seem to have been an occupation at the time, although the letter in the middle doesn't look like the other a's. Unless someone else can come up with something?

Is there anywhere else it might be written?

I haven’t looked for the father on a census yet but am struggling with the groom. I reckon he’s at sea on all census. Marriage cert only arrived this afternoon so I haven’t had much chance.
