Maybe the enumerator put granddau for Jane Leach because he was reading the wrong line on the householders schedule and she should say boarder or something? *looks hopeful*

Are there any Henry Bridge/Mary Leach marriages?
The obvious assumption is that Mary had an illegitimate child - either a little leech or a girl child who married a Leach. As everyone else has said, Jane's birth certificate ought to resolve the problem and with luck, Mary was living with her illegitimate child in 1841. |

There is a Jane Leach baptism 30 Nov 1864 at Holy Trinity, Bolton, daughter of Thomas and Ann, abode Ormrod Street, occupation miner (on Lancashire OPC site).

Well done Kate - I didn't know Lancs had an OPC!
Unless she wasn't a baby that surely must be the right one?

As the bap is in the right address area and as I can't see Thomas and Ann getting married or being on a census, I guess that bap is probably for the right Jane Leach!

I had a quick look through and couldn't find any, but I only looked at the ones with dates fairly near to 1864:
