This is all very interesting. I stumbled, at first, at the mention of rhesus disease. But a quick investigation tells me it's just what we would call Rh incompatibility. It turns out we're lucky to have you in more ways than one, then, Merry.

My ex husband's first wife gave birth to twins at home, not knowing she was expecting twins. The first twin survived, the second didn't, because of rhesus disease.
