Robert Chapple Shill 1789-1865 convert to Mormonism

Robert Chapple Shill was illegitimate, born 07 June 1789, Colesborne, Gloucestershire.
His mother was Mary Shill. Some sources list his father as Robert Chapple, a sailor.

He married Prudence Golding, 30 May 1809 at Syde, Glos.

In 1847 Robert was baptised into the Mormon faith by his converted son Charles Golding Shill. Prudence had converted in 1846.

30 Sep 1851 Prudence Shill buried at Syde, Gloucestershire.

After his wife's death, Robert went to America with their son Charles.

He died 06 Oct 1865, aged 76 at St. Louis, Missouri.
