Date and place of burial
George and his family were buried at St Peter’s Sowerby, although we couldn’t find the grave on our visit in October 2008. The churchyard is very overgrown. The memorial inscriptions of many of the graves have been recorded, however.

George was buried shortly after 16th December 1842.
