I've just looked at one or two of my Scottish marriage images. They are all entirely in the same hand, with signatures annotated (signed). They are mostly home (or manse) marriages.

The ones I have are patent copies, the only advantage being that I can see exactly how the mistranscription has come about: some flourishes on the line above have been taken as part of my people's names, rendering them completely different.
